ANGUS 22 APRIL PRAY 1.7MIL PEOPLE BLOEMFONTEIN

The call for 50 days of prayer for South Africa is supported by a network of organisations 'Intercessors for South Africa', including the Mighty Men movement led Angus Buchan who called the recent Bloemfontein prayer meeting.

Chief Justice Mogoeng

Welcome to day 9

"Bless the Nation" - 50 days of prayer.

We continue during week 2 to focus on government and judicial spheres. We are privileged to have Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng share a powerful, prophetic word of God's plan of restoration for our nation from Joel chapter 2.

 22 April 2017

After consultation with Angus Buchan, Jericho Walls Prayer Network is sending out the following guidelines for prayer

    • Invite other Christians to your home for a time of prayer. Try to do it between 12:00 and 14:00 - which is the time that the meeting in Bloemfontein will take place.
    • Try to find Christians from different denominations, languages and races to join for prayer.
    • Ask your local church to organize a time of prayer (preferably between 12:00 and 14:00)
    • If you are in a situation that you cannot join other people, set aside a definite time of prayer and join Christians around the country in prayer.

Spiritual preparation

Let us now forget about the "million" that will meet with God in Bloemfontein. Let us from this point forward focus on meeting with God. Let us restrain ourselves from taking matters in our own hands.

  • Allow God to break up the fallow ground in your heart. Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you. You have plowed wickedness; you have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, because you trusted in your own way, in the multitude of your mighty men. (Hosea 10:12-13).
  • Allow God in the coming days to give you a contrite (broken, humble) heart. For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry. (Isaiah 57:15-16).
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to show you any form of unforgiveness or bitterness in your heart. Confess what needs to be confessed and ask the Lord to deliver you from every root of bitterness. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors... For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6:12-15).
  • Let us pray, amongst other things, for:
    • everything that is not born of God to be revealed and destroyed;
    • the salvation of the unsaved,
    • a national spiritual revival,
    • the plight of the poor and needy,
    • an end to corruption and crime in government and business
    • an end to disregard of life (rape, murder, all forms of domestic violence),
    • an end of racism on all sides,
    • deliverance from any forms of depression, fear, anxiety, anger, frustration and stress,
    • and let us in prayer resist the spirit of immorality.
